The vision of EAH Housing is of creating balanced communities comprised of people of many income levels, educational backgrounds, job skills, religions, and races, with attractive and affordable housing. We believe this balance enhances the quality and richness of all our lives. Starting from grass-roots origins in response to the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, EAH has become one of the largest and most respected non-profit affordable housing property management organizations in the western United States, serving over 20,000 seniors, families, students, people with disabilities, and the formerly homeless.
Our affordable housing property management team is trained to address the whole person, partnering with outside social service agencies to provide on-site services that promote healthy, productive lives. EAH Housing is committed to help people remain as independent as possible, with a heightened sensitivity to the special needs of people living with chronic illnesses or physical impairments. These specialized communities make a significant impact in the lives of the people we serve. Combining award-winning design, innovative on-site services and a commitment to people, EAH reflects the distinctive personality of each community.
In 2018, EAH Housing will celebrate 50 years of dedication to social justice in creating affordable housing on behalf of working families, older adults, and the many people that comprise the unique fabric of our community today.
